Gull lake, Mn. (Winter)
This painting is inspired by the ice fishing houses on Gull Lake in Minnesota. My family, and many others, head to Gull Lake for fun year-round. We were able to get out on the lake last winter to ice fish and enjoy the winter wonderland. One of my favorite views is seeing the ice houses on the barren lakes. It is so remarkably beautiful. So much beauty in the winter. I love the texture and nuance of snow and ice. The stillness of winter is so peaceful. I love the smell of ice and snow in the sun.
